ABOUT US
Two people. One passion. Hundreds of stories.
Hi! We’re Monika and Konrad — a married couple, passionate travellers and lovers of an active lifestyle.
We live in the UK and have been travelling for over 20 years — first separately, and later together. What brought us together was our passion for discovering the world, staying active and finding places that are truly worth experiencing.
Travel brought us together long before the idea for Adventure Hunters Expeditions was born.
One of our first trips together was a backpacking adventure through Ethiopia, Kenya and Tanzania. It was a real test for a newly formed couple — basic conditions, backpacking, staying with local people, the Simien Mountains and a river that was our water source, a good half-hour away.
That’s when we realised that we work really well together, even when things don’t go according to plan.
Travel Opens Your Eyes
Ethiopia stayed with us long after we came home.
We saw the world from a completely different perspective — children working from a very young age to help their families, and the lack of basic things we often take for granted. We still remember a local race in Debark, where one of the children was running in… just one shoe.
Those were the moments that taught us that travelling isn’t just about beautiful views. It’s above all about the people, the emotions and the stories that change the way we see the world.
You don’t have to see it all. You have to experience it.
We’d rather experience less,
but experience it fully.
From an Idea to Reality
The idea for Adventure Hunters Expeditions was born many years ago. But life had other plans — the pandemic, followed by an accident, surgery and a long recovery, meant we had to put the idea on hold.
But we never gave up on it.
Eventually, the moment came when we said to each other: If not now, when?
And that’s how Adventure Hunters Expeditions Ltd.
We don’t want to create trips where you simply tick off one destination after another. We want to show you the world the way we love it ourselves — real, diverse, sometimes challenging, often surprising and always full of stories.
And it all starts long before we take off.
We travel in small groups. 8–12 people with one trip leader. We want to get to know you, listen to you and tailor the journey to the people taking part.
That’s why our adventure begins at the airport.
We check in our luggage together, then invite you to the airport lounge. It’s a chance to enjoy our first lunch, have a chat and get to know each other before the flight. Especially if you’re joining us on your own, we want you to feel that from the very first moment, you’re part of the group and never travelling alone..
And then?
We sit down together, take a moment to breathe… and begin the adventure.

Not All of Our Stories
are so serious.
During a visit to China’s Zhangjiajie Mountains, one cheeky monkey decided to try its hand at pickpocketing. First, it knocked a tourist’s phone into the river while she was trying to take a selfie.
A moment later, it turned its attention to my bag of food.
This time, though, it had picked the wrong opponent. I wasn’t giving up my food.

Trip to China
Our first trip together was the beginning of our friendship, and for the past 11 years, we’ve also had the chance to travel the world together.
Based on those experiences, I can wholeheartedly recommend trips organised by Konrad — both for the way they’re organised and for the idea behind them: discovering the world in a less conventional way.
Mauritius, Maldives
I’ve been travelling with the group for several years now, even before the company was officially established, and every trip has been really well organised. I’ve had the chance to travel with them to Mauritius and the Maldives, among other places, and I can honestly say you can trust them both when it comes to the organisation and the way each trip is run.
What I appreciate most is that this isn’t typical mass tourism — great places, a great atmosphere and people who genuinely know what they’re doing. If you’re looking for well-organised trips to interesting places, I can definitely recommend them! 👍🌴✈️
